What is ur favourite book?
What book did u like the most? Would ya like to give some info about it ? In fact, i m tryin to write a book review. So if you can help me, PLEASE!!!

Answer

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen ChboskybrbrA trite comingofage novel that could easily appeal to a YA readership, filmmaker Chboskys debut broadcasts its intentions with the publishers announcement that ads will run on MTV. Charlie, the wallflower of the title, goes through a veritable bath of bathos in his th grade year, . The novel is formatted as a series of letters to an unnamed quotfriend, quot the first of which reveals the suicide of Charlies pal Michael. Charlies responsevalid enoughis to cry. The crying soon gets out of hand, thoughin subsequent letters, his father, his aunt, his sister and his sisters boyfriend all become lachrymose. Charlie has the usual dire adolescent problemssex, drugs, the thuggish football teamand they perplex him in the usual teen TV ways. ... Into these standard teenage issues Chbosky infuses a droning insistence on Charlies supersensitive disposition. Charlies English teacher and others have a disconcerting tendency to rhapsodize over Charlies giftedness, which seems to consist of Charlies unquestioning assimilation of the teachers taste in books. In the end we learn the root of Charlies psychological problems, and we confront, with him, the coming rigors of th grade, ever hopeful that hell find a suitable girlfriend and increase his vocabulary. brbrThe Catcher in the Rye by J.D. SalingerbrbrSince his debut in as The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield has been synonymous with quotcynical adolescent.quot Holden narrates the story of a couple of days in his sixteenyearold life, just after hes been expelled from prep school, in a slang that sounds edgy even today and keeps this novel on banned book lists. It begins, quotIf you really want to hear about it, the first thing youll probably want to know is where I was born and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I dont feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth. In the first place, that stuff bores me, and in the second place, my parents would have about two hemorrhages apiece if I told anything pretty personal about them.quot His constant wry observations about what he encounters, from teachers to phonies the two of course are not mutually exclusive capture the essence of the eternal teenage experience of alienation.

What is unconditional love?

Question

What is unconditional love?

Answer

Men AND Women really need to learn howbrto Love each other, and then daily put itbrinto practice. brbrWhat really is Love ? Pls. take a few minutesbrto read the information below, if successful relationships are important to you.brbrWhat in the world is the difference between loving a person and being attached to them ?brLove is the sincere wish for others to be happy, and to be free from suffering.brHaving realistically recognized others kindness as well as their faults, love is always focused on the other persons welfare. We have No ulterior motives to fulfull our selfinterest, or to fulfill our desires to love others simply because they exist.brAttachment, on the other hand, exaggertes others good qualitities and makes us crave to be with them. When were with them, were happy, but when were separated from them, we are often miserable. Attachment is linked with expectations of what others should be or do.brIs love as it is usually understood in our society brreally love ? or attachment ? or even possibly for some, only lust.brLet us examine this a bit more. Generally we are attracted to people either because they have qualities we value or because they help us in some way. If we observe our own thought processes mindfully, and carefully well notice that we look for specific qualities in others. brSome of these qualities we find attractive, others are those our parents, or society value.brWe examine someones looks, body, education, brfinancial situation, social status. This is how most of us decide on whether or not the person holds any true value to us. brIn addition, we judge people as worthwhile according to how they relate to us. If they help us, praise us, make us feel secure, listen to what we have to say, care for us when we are sick or depressed, we consider them good people, and it is this type of people we are most likely to be more attracted to. brbrBut this is very biased, for we judge them only in terms of how they relate to quotusquot, as if we are the most important person in the world.brAfter weve judged certain people to be good for us, whenever we see them it appears to us as if goodness is coming from them, but if we are more aware, we recognize that we have projected this goodness onto them.brbrDesiring to be with the people alot who make us feel good, we become emotional yoyos brwhen were with these people, were Up, when were not with these people, were Down.brbrFurthermore, we form fixed concepts of what our relationships with those people will be and thus have expectations of them. When they do not live up to our expectations of them, were very disappointed, or may become angry !brWe want them to change so that they will they will match what we think they are. But our projections and expectations come from our own minds, not from the other people.brOur problems arise not because others arentbrwho we thought they were, but because we mistakenly thought they were something theybrarent.brChecklist quotI Love You if quotbrWhat we call love is most often attachment.brIt is actually a disturbing attitude that overestamates the qualities of another person.brWe then cling to tightly to that person, thinking our happiness depends on that person.brquotLove, on the other hand, is an open and very calm, relaxed attitude. We want someone to be happy, and free from suffering simply because they exist. While attachment is uncontrolled and much too sentimental, Love is direct and powerful. Attachment obscures our judgment and we become impatient, angry, and impartial, helping only our dear ones and harming those who we dont like. Love builds up others, and clarifies our minds, and we braccess a situation by thinking of the greatest good for everyone. Attachment is based onbrselfishness, while Love is founded upon cherishing others, even those who do not look very appealing to the eyes. Love looks beyondbrall the superficial appearences, and dwells on the fact that they are just like us they want inner peace, happiness, and want to avoid suffering. If we see unattractive, dirty, ignorant people, we feel repulsed because our selfish minds watn to know attractive, intellectual, clean, and talented people. Love, on the other hand, never evaluates others by these superficial standards and looks much deeper into the person. Love recognizes that regardless of the others appearances, their experience is the same as ours they seek inner peace, to be happy, to be free from sufferings, and to do their best to avoid problems. brWhen were attached, were not mentally and emotionally free. We overly depend on and cling to another person to fulfill our mental and especially our emotional needs. We fear losing the person, feeling wed be incomplete without him. brThis does not mean that we should suppress our emotional needs or become aloof, alone and totally independent, for that too does not solve the problem. We must simply realize our unrealistic needs, and slowly seek to eliminate them. Some emotional needs may be so strong that they cant be dissolved immediately.brIf we try to suppress them or pretend they do not exist, we become anxious, insecure, falling into a depression. In this case, we can do our best to fulfill our needs while simultaneously working gradually to subdue them.brquotThe core problem is we seek to be loved, rather than to love. We yearn to be understood by others rather than to understand them. In all honesty, our sense of emotional insecurities comes from the selfishness obscuring our ownbrminds. We can develop selfconfidence by recognizing our inner potential to become a selfless human being with many, many magnificient qualities, then well develop a true and accurate feeling of selfconfidence. And brthen well seek to increase true love, without attachments, to increase compassion, to cultivate patience and understanding, as well as generousity, concentration and wisdom.brbrUnder the influence of attachment were bound by our emotional reactions to others. When they are nice to us, were happy. When they ignore us, or speak sharply to us, we take it personally and are unhappy. But pasifying attachment doesnt mean we become hardhearted. Rather, without attachment there will be space in our hearts and minds for genuine Affection and Impartial Love for them.brWell be actively involved with them.brIf we learn to subdue our attachments, we can most definately have successful friendships and personal relationships with others !! These relationships will be richer because of the freedom and respect the relationships will be based on. Well care about the happiness and the misery of all human beings equally, simply because everyone is the same in wanting and needing inner peace, happiness, and not wanting to suffer. However, our lifestyles and interests may be more compatible with those of some people more so than with others, and that is alright. In any case, our relationships will be based on mutual Love, mutual interests, and the wish to help each other in life.

What is......tomorrow?

Question

What is......tomorrow?

Answer

Tomorrow is a non existential thing.brbrIf you want to do something do it here and now. Dont postpone, and dont say It is such a small thing we can take care of it tomorrow. Nothing is so small. If you are not alert, by the time tomorrow comes this thing will be great and big and then you will be in difficulty. And it may not be possible tomorrow for you to tackle it.brbrNever leave problems incomplete, that is how you become burdened. Always live a life which is moment to moment complete. Whatsoever you have to do, do it now. Whatsoever you have to say, say it now. Whatsoever you have to be, be it now. Dont say Tomorrow, tomorrow is the fools land. That is the way stupidity goes on postponing. If you can complete everything this moment you are always fresh for the next moment, there is no hangover. And if death comes to such a person he is always ready and happy, because he has never left anything incomplete. He is always ready because he is always complete.brbrIf death comes to you, you will be in trouble because a thousand and one things are incomplete and you would like to have a little more time. Because you always wanted to do some things and you have never done them. In fact, useless things you have completed and useful things you have been postponing. If you postpone anger for tomorrow, that may be good, but you never postpone anger for tomorrow. Anger you do right now, love you postpone for tomorrow. Greed you do it now, sharing you postpone for tomorrow. Violence you do it now, compassion you say quotWe will see tomorrow.quot All nonsense you do right now, you dont wait for tomorrow and all that is beautiful you go on pushing away for some other day.brbrMisery you never postpone, bliss you always postpone. So when death comes you have led a miserable life and blessings, benedictions, you have been postponing. And now comes death, and you cry and you weep and you say A little more time, because I have never lived really. Do just the opposite bliss this moment. Misery can be postponed there is no hurry. And if you are blissful this moment misery will never happen because this moment is the total, all that is there. The next moment comes, and that moment will be coming out of this moment. If you are blissful this moment, the next moment will come more blissful out of it.brbrAnd when death comes you will say quotI am perfectly ready, because I have been postponing only miseries, so it is good you have come.quot Now there is no need, now the tomorrow disappears completely. This is what a wise man goes on doing. He tackles every problem this moment. He tackles every situation this moment. Much energy is released if you complete things. Have you watched it in yourself? If you dont complete a thing it remains on your head, knocking, to be completed. Until you complete it, it goes on hovering around you, haunting you. It may be a small thing but it goes on hovering. Finish it!brbrA man who is blissful lives here and now. He doesnt bother about tomorrow. The tomorrow means nothing tomorrow has no meaning for him. Tomorrow in fact is nonexistential this moment is the only existence.brbrMay you always shine like a Star and be fragrant like a Flower,brGod bless your Life with infinite Love and Peace, Amen.

Question

What is time?

Answer

One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence, and time itself is something that can be measured. This is the realists view, to which Sir Isaac Newton subscribed, and hence is sometimes referred to as Newtonian time.brbrA contrasting view is that time is part of the fundamental human intellectual structure together with space and number within which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects. In this second view, time does not refer to any kind of entity that quotflowsquot, that objects quotmove throughquot, or that is a quotcontainerquot for events. This view is in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz and Immanuel Kant, in which time, rather than being an objective thing to be measured, is part of the measuring system used by humans.

There is a cat in the upper leftt and a dog in the upper right. They are each labeled below it. Heres a picture. Sorry that its not good quality and so small gtgt

Answer

To get some form of dementia were slowly but painfully I lose the quotIquot of me. Imagine watching yourself slip away as your memories fade away. To lose the essence of yourself into nothingness before death. To be in form but not of mind. The worst would be when you still had enough awareness to know that you are losing your mind. To know that your soul was being eaten away from the inside but there is nothing you can do about it.

What is the worlds biggest problem?

Question

What is the worlds biggest problem?

Answer

Lust is the biggest problem in the world. Every human alive decides everything on lust. The human thought process is based on quotgetquot. When one does something, they always think about what they can get out the situation. For example, lets look at this question. The basic instinct of asking a question is to find out information to better your own personal situation or how to ask the quotperfectquot question. This is mainly a random question, for it doesnt ask for personal knowledge because your opinion has already set the answer for you. This question was asked to find out what other people think and how it compares to your own thought process. The answers are even selfish, either the person answering wants to give the best possible answer to show intelligence or to see if they can have the same answer as you or a better answer than your own thought process. Every person on earth is guilty of lust. Lusting after something you dont have. Everyone wants the better religion, the largest amount of money, better looks or whatever and this selfishness causes humans to have cock fights. To prove yourself. So every underlining problem of the world, like war, hunger, financial issues, global scales of issues is because our greed to be the best. Our selfish lust after the greatest

Question

How do I fix a break in my singing voice?
When I sing an A, B, or C note my voice crack and I am forced to choose between using my head or chest voice. Will practicng scales fix this?

Answer

There is no way to make a break go away. Everyone has a break. There are tricks to smooth past it, but it takes a lot of practice. Try switching to your head voice before you get to your break. Bringing the head voice down will help smooth over the break. I recommend you find a voice teacher that has specific experience in vocal pedagogy. A vocal coach may or may not know how to help you with this.

How do I dance and not be tesed?

Question

How do I dance and not be tesed?

Answer

If you mean that you do ClassicalContemporary etc... and you dont want to be teased because you are a boy doing a quotgirliequot thing... then take the advise of a male dancer friend of mine... He used to say he danced because he was one bloke we are Aussies amoungst a group of girls. brbrFor him it meant that he had more chance of getting girlfriends. Incidently that is why he joined... as it turned out he happened to be very talented too! brbrThere is no hard a fast way to not be teased. I was teased because I danced when I was a girl. People do not understand it if you are different. The thing to remember is that School and High School do pass and when you go out into the real world you will find like minded people, who will not only NOT tease you but they will support you. If you can find just one friend in the here and now that can do that then hang out with that person doesnt matter if they are male or female. brbrSometimes, we have to accept that we will be teased, because we are different. But that if we just laugh along a Little not take it too seriously and if it gets too much, make sure you talk to an adult about it. brbrYour Dance teacher might be able to put you in touch with the local Dance company and you can talk to the male dancers about their experiences and how they coped.brbrMy little brother gave up because he was teased too much and it was a great shame because he really was very good. The world needs more male dancers and good dedicated dancers so dont give up unless you dont love it anymore.

How do I copywright an original piece of poetry?

Question

How do I copywright an original piece of poetry?
I wrote poetry when I was younger, I recently came across my poems and decided Id like to publish them on a personal intranet site. Can I copywright my work without spending too much money?

Answer

Best and easiest way is to print them out and send them certified mail to yourself. Do not open the envelope and keep all the USPS paperwork the receipts and your signed copy. This wont cost you more than a buck or so, and by doing this youve given a quottime stampquot of when you quotclaimedquot the poetry. Good luck.brbrEDITED Lots of people are saying quotjust mail it to yourself.quot Not good. CERTIFY it. That way you have the receipts and it requires a signature. If it ever came down to it, someone could accuse you of having taken just a regular letter, steamed it open and put your poetry into it. Far fetched maybe, but you get much more documentation with certification.

How do I choose a perfect monologue for an audition?

Question

How do I choose a perfect monologue for an audition?
I have an audition coming up and I need two monologues. One needs to be contemporary dramatic and the other needs to be contemporary comdey.

Answer

FORGET CHARACTER!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Auditioners want to see you before you do a character, so find something that really speaks to YOU. If you think its interesting, your audition will be. If you think its funny, you will probably play it funny. Be yourself in the situation. Dont do an accent. Please, trust me on this one. Dont listen to the bull.brbrREAD THE PLAY! If they ask you questions you better know what you are talking about. Dont pick something that you just found online. chances are lots of people use it. I like to find monologues in one act plays because most auditioners wont know the piece and its a short read.brbrKEEP IT SHORT. If you have to butcher a monologue with cuts, its probably not going to make much sense. Find ones that are close to a minute long. Shorter than a minute is better than a little bit over.brbrBE CREATIVE. Comedic monologues have a little bit more leeway when it comes to the quotfrom a playquot rule. I know someone who used a quotDear Abbyquot letter. Just dont write your own.brbrMONOLOGUE BOOKS ARE OKAY. As long as they are from plays. But keep in mind they will be commonly used.brbrFIND SOMETHING NEWER. If you can find something written in the last years, auditioners will be impressed that you are keeping up with contemporary theatre.

How do I become a deeper and more thoughtful person?

Question

How do I become a deeper and more thoughtful person?
Im a teenager but I wish I were wiser. Does this only come with age?

Answer

Your desire to be wiser shows you are on the right road. Theres a saying quotthe more you know, the more you realize you dont knowquot that I have found to be very true.brI was a pretty stupid teenager because I thought I knew quite a bit. In reality, I was dishonest, destructive, and disrespectful of others.. mostly because I wanted to impress others and get them to like me. I found that I had groups of friends those who put me down that I tried to impress by putting others down... and those who were much less popular who I could be myself around. It took me a long time to realize that my desire to be with the first group was my undoing. Well, enough about me... it took me a long time to learn to like myself and become a deeper person because I had to backtrack and find a better road. So, in my case, age was a bigger factor than for many.brMy advice is to be honest with yourself and the people who are important to you. To recognize when people are unkind to yourself and others... not for the purpose of holding a grudge, but to either steer clear of them if they hurt you, or confronting them honestly. These people will stunt your growth as a person if you allow them to continue.brOther things that may helpbrLearn the art of listening.. not just hearing.brChoose the life paths that inspire YOU without worrying about ridicule from others. Dont choose paths out of fear.brIts better to lead by example than to try and control others.brBe genuine. There is nothing more beautiful than a genuine smile!brThat fact that you are looking at yourself now is a very good sign... good for you. Everybody makes mistakes, but the key is to try and learn from them. Happy trails!

Answer

Familiar places and buildings give us a sense of continuity with the past, and help to develop an emotional attachment to our land. In remaking Singapore, we need to retain a stock of buildings that create a special sense of identity and hold our individual and collective memories. Like precious family heirlooms that are passed from generation to generation, they can create an enduring bond between generations. Such buildings lend soul to our city and make it different from all the others. Conservation must be integral to urban planning in Singapore.brbrArchitectural works of the postwar era for conservation. Despite their simple forms, these buildings are important for their social and historical significance. They are part of the memories of the postwar generation. They document the evolution of building styles in Singapore, and are fine examples of the work of our pioneering local architects. Most importantly, they capture the mood and aspirations of a young Singapore nation. Through their conservation, we hope to safeguard symbols of Singapores modernizing and industrializing era.

How does the music affect your life during the day?

Question

How does the music affect your life during the day?

Answer

My life is like a movie, with a fully orchestrated soundtrack. Sometimes it is music I play, a CD or a record, or just the radio, and other times it is all in my head, but there is always music in the background of my life. It serves to drown out the ringing in my ears... I have a thing called tinnitus, which for me is more a high pitched constant whine rather than ringing. Listen to the music that they play during the program, The Closer with Kyra Sedgwick. My life soundtrack has a blues feel to it like that program. Mostly, my life soundtrack is like the Busby Berkeley musicals of the s minus the spontaneous breaking out in song part and skipping the huge dance numbers...

How does one improve their writing?

Question

How does one improve their writing?
I am a journalism student and I am a great lover of all literature and so I would like, just for my own amusement, at least for now, to write maybe short stories or little novellas. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to improve as a fictional writer. I spend alot of time writing reportive type essays for school and I also spend alot of time reading the classics. Both of these are probably great practice for writing, however, I am just wondering if there are any ways to really improve fictional writing. You know all, all of the great literary devices, character develepment, symbolism etc. Im just looking for some ways to improve besides the obvious continued reading of the classics.

Answer

Reading is definitely a must. Its like studying the art of writing itself. But make sure youre reading the same type of stuff that you want to write. If youre not going to write a classic type of story you shouldnt be studying the classics. Besides which you dont see any new classics around do you? brbrShort stories are written in a completely different way to novels and novellas etc so if those are the types of things you want to write, thats what you have to read and study. But dont forget the study part. Its so easy to get lost in the story and forget that youre supposed to actually be watching out for the techniques how the author wrote a certain part or how he introduced somethingsomeone or what this particular little thing has to do with the main story itself etc.brbrThere are a lot of quotLearn how to writequot type books and websites which can help you out with the basic structure of the different types of written works and other basic things like that but they can only go so far. In the end, youre going to have to create your own style of writing just by practising heaps.brbrAlso, perhaps the most important thing is to find someone you can bounce your work off who will give you useful and honest feedback and wont just say that everythings good because hes youre friend. This person can be hard to find because someone who has different reading tastes wont be helpful and likewise for someone who rarely reads at all, if ever.brbrTry signing up with a writing website where you can post your work to be reviewed but even then dont expect all useful reviews. The main purpose of having someone else read your work is so that you dont fall into the pit of despair when you feel everything you do is terrible which may or may not be the case and so that you wont give up because of it.brbrThe worst critic of them all is the writer himself.
